Consider it a new version of death by PowerPoint. The NATO command in Afghanistan has fired a staff officer who publicly criticized its interminable briefings, its over-reliance on Microsoft’s slide-show program, and what he considered its crushing bureaucracy.

Of course you want UCLA_SECURE. Its the best!

But how do you connect to this super awesome powerful wifi? Well… there’s a few steps.
Let’s begin… Its not broadcasting its SSID. So you have to manually type it in.

It uses WPA2 Enterprise security.

Check the Certificate, it should be for auth.ucla.edu.

Use you’re UCLA Logon ID and password to connect.

That should be enough info to get you connected on any OS, but click the link if you need pretty pictures.

Thanks a lot Oracle - Google won't be attending JavaOne Conference

Thanks a lot Oracle - Google won't be attending JavaOne Conference:

… but Oracle’s recent lawsuit against Google and open source has made it impossible for us to freely share our thoughts about the future of Java and open source generally.
Sweet! I’m bumping up the middle bar with Grants and Scholarships! I don’t think I could go to UCLA without my Fellowship. Gotta keep those grades up!

Students from the richest families have well over half of the costs of going to college paid for by their parents. Students from families earning less than $35,000 annually, on the other hand, are relatively more reliant on grants, scholarships and their own borrowing.

What’s Worse Than Credit Card Debt? Student Loans

Parents and advisors need to step up and give their kids, who don’t know any better at 18, a dose of reality about college degrees, which are basically nothing more than an “entry pass” to the bigger job market. You don’t need a fancy five-year degree (and maybe even grad school) that ends up costing you $100,000 in student loans unless there’s real ROI at graduation (law, medicine, nursing …something that pays off and practically guarantees you a job for as long as you want one).

YoYoFactory Present: Jensen Kimmitt 2010 World yoyo Contest 1A...

YoYoFactory Present: Jensen Kimmitt 2010 World yoyo Contest 1A 1st Place
