I have installed my new router and the Tomato Firmware. It’s working great and supports several types of bandwidth usage charts, advanced QoS access restriction features, raised connection limits which enables P2P networking, and support for 125 High Speed Mode (marketed by Linksys as “SpeedBooster”).

It also had UPnP enabled by default… so I had to disable that. Another cool feature is that it scans for other wireless networks and lets you find an open channel, so you don’t have to use Kismet. It’s filled with tons of cool little features like that. It also has tons of Mods for VPN support, and you can setup universal ad blocking through the router’s scripting support.

This is just my first few hours playing with it, but it’s great so far! I recommend it… you know… if you’re into this kind of thing ;)
